Veteran Memorial Park (center of town) – Map
Type: Plaza with Flagpole and surrounding dedications
Description: A brick memorial states: “All Gave Some – Some Gave All” and includes names from World War I, World War II and Vietnam. Another marker consists of an aluminum plaque on a concrete base. It reads: “Veteran Memorial Park ~ This Memorial And Park Is Dedicated In1992 To The ~ Veterans Of Coffey County, Both Living And Dead, ~ Who Gave Of Their Time And Some Their Lives. ~ To Support The Tenets Of Freedom And Liberty That ~ The United States Of America And ~ Coffey County, Kansas Stand For. ~ For The Veterans Of Coffey County, We Who ~ Remain Pledge That The Memory Of ~ Their Service Will Not Be Forgotten, ~ Misunderstood, Or Ignored.”

Veteran Memorial (center of town) – Map
Type: Stone Monument
Description: A stone monument has a central plaque reading: “Gridley ~ Armed Forces Memorial ~ In Honor Of ~ The Men and Women ~ Who Serve To Protect ~ Our Freedom”. Glass cases are positioned on both ends of the Monument. These cases contain names of soldiers, including 27 from the Civil War.

Lincoln Cemetery (west of town) – Map
Type: Granite Monument
Description: The granite monument is engraved: “In ~ Memory ~ Of ~ Our Heroes ~ 1861-1865 ~ W.R.C.” The sides of the monument are engraved with a cannon and flag, and a G.A.R. ribbon.
