Wichita County

Description: In 1885 the county had only seven houses. Wichita County was created in 1873. By 1887 settlement was enough for county organization. It was named after the Wichita Indians.

Wichita County has a population of 2,234 (2010 census).

The county seat (Leoti) has also been explored for monuments associated with the County Courthouse.
